James W. Leslie is a painter who resides in Northeast Ohio where he captures the beauty of the landscapes of the Cuyahoga Valley, surrounding areas, and beyond. Beginning at an early age, his desire to express how nature makes him feel has become a life-long passion. His exposure to French Impressionism and American Landscape painting at an early age set forth an aspiration to capture the rural places of home and travel. Intrigued by color and light, James is challenged to record the beauty found within the natural world of sky, trees, fields, mountains, rivers and streams. James earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from The Ohio State University and a Master of Fine Art from Kent State University. He is an active member in local and national art organizations and enjoys painting daily in the field or in his studio.
